Texas Allows Late Applications for Timber Land Appraisals

The Texas Governor signed a law to allow late applications for timber land appraisals after the death of the owner. The law waives the 10 percent late penalty if the application is filed by certain representatives before the delinquency date. The law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2026. [H.B. 3370, enacted 06/20/25]
