Prologis CEO Leaves California to Retire and Cut His Tax Bill

Hamid Moghadam, who has led the world’s largest industrial landlord for more than 40 years from his headquarters in San Francisco, has left California for retirement in Nevada.

The chief executive officer of Prologis Inc. said his top goal in moving is to give some space to his successor, company President Dan Letter. Nevada’s lower tax burden is another draw, said Moghadam, 69, who will stay on as executive chairman of Prologis when he steps down as CEO on Jan. 1.
