Philippines Senate Considers Bill to Rationalize Withholding Tax Rate on Refined Petroleum Products

The Philippine Senate Sept. 25 accepted for consideration Bill No. 1354, to amend the withholding tax rate for oil companies on refined petroleum products. The bill includes a measure to reduce, to no more than 0.1 percent from 1 percent, the withholding tax rate on income from the sale of refined petroleum products. The law would enter into force 15 days after publication. [Philippines, Senate, 09/25/25]
