NY Settles With Public Accounting Firm Over Data Security Gaps

Wojeski & Co., a public accounting firm, reached a settlement with the New York Attorney General’s Office to better secure customers’ personal information, the attorney general announced Monday.

The firm’s weak data protections resulted in two cybersecurity incidents that exposed the information of over 4,700 New Yorkers, Attorney General Letitia James said in the announcement. The firm also took over a year to notify victims of the data breach, James said
