New York Authorizes Utica, Rome 3 Percent Hotel Tax

The New York Governor signed a law that includes authorizing the cities of Utica and Rome in Oneida County to impose a hotel and motel tax of up to 3 percent. The law took effect on Oct. 16 and sunsets on Dec. 31, 2027. [A. 8490, enacted 10/16/25]
