A cannabis trade association asked a Michigan trial court to bar enforcement of the state’s 24% excise tax on wholesale marijuana in a complaint filed the day the bill was signed into law.
The law lumps an additional excise tax on top of the existing 10% rate established by the 2018 Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act, passed by voter initiative.
