The Louisiana State Legislature isn’t dropping its plans to overhaul the tax and budget section of the state constitution, even after 65% of voters rejected doing so during a special election earlier this year.
Lawmakers passed two bills June 12 capturing themes embedded in the failed Amendment 2 ballot initiative and companion measures providing statutory support.
