The IRS issued a reminder to taxpayers who may be entitled to the Recovery Rebate Credit to file a tax return and claim their money before the deadline, the IRS announced Nov. 17. The deadline to file and claim the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit is May 17, 2024. The deadline to file and claim the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit is April 15, 2025.
