IRS CEO Frank Bisignano will be in the hot seat Wednesday on Capitol Hill for the first time since taking over a newly created role at the agency.

Bisignano, who is also the commissioner of the Social Security Administration, entered during one of the most turbulent periods the IRS has seen in decades.
