Canada’s Information Services Starts Strategy Review (Correct)

Canadian database company Information Services Corp. has begun a review of strategic alternatives, including a possible sale of the company, following months of pressure by one of its top shareholders.

The Regina, Saskatchewan-based registry and information services provider said Monday the process will be overseen by a special committee of independent directors and could result in asset sales, acquisitions, business combinations or a full company sale. RBC Capital Markets is advising the board, while Stikeman Elliott is serving as legal counsel.
