Indonesia to Issue Rule on EV Producers’ Tax Incentives in Nov.

Govt seeks to offer tax incentives to global electric-vehicle manufacturers for them to build factories in Indonesia, Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy Coordinating Minister of Maritime & Investment Affairs, tells reporters Friday.

• Producers must guarantee that they will build plants onshore to get the incentives
• Indonesia also plans to continue incentives for EV purchases in 2024, while considering more subsidies for electric motorbike conversions
