The Indiana Senate’s Republican leader called off a special legislative session on conformity with the new federal tax law enacted in July and on redrawing the state’s congressional maps.
The Senate couldn’t reach a deal to move forward on redistricting, Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray said in a statement, also dooming efforts to conform this year with President Donald Trump’s signature tax law.
