Florida, Louisiana, Texas to Get ‘Surge’ Virus Testing Sites (1)

The federal government is setting up eight temporary coronavirus testing sites in areas that are seeing a surge in cases, the Department of Health and Human Services announced Tuesday.

Each site will be capable of performing 5,000 tests per day at no charge to patients. The sites will be active for up to 12 days and are being set up in partnership with eTrueNorth, a health-care technology company that provides lab testing at retail pharmacies.
