EU Council Keeps 11 Countries on Its Noncooperative Tax List

The EU Council issued its updated list of noncooperative tax jurisdictions, naming the same 11 countries as on its previous list.

The US Virgin Islands, Samoa, and Panama, among others, remain on the list, which is issued twice a year by a group of EU envoys known as the Code of Conduct group.

“Although this round of the update of the list features positive developments, the Council regrets that these jurisdictions are not yet fully cooperative on tax matters and invites them to improve their legal framework to resolve the identified issues,” a press release said.
