District of Columbia Tax Office Publishes Process to Obtain Certificate of Clean Hands Online

The District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) Sept. 14 published the process to obtain a Certificate of Clean Hands by visiting the OTR’s official website. Taxpayers need to log in or create a MyTax.DC.gov account and click “request a Certificate of Clean Hands” to confirm or complete the required information. A non-login option is available for non-district filers. If in compliance, the certificate will be generated instantly for excise and sales and use tax purposes.
