The Connecticut legislature won’t create a new incentive for residents to challenge New York’s rules for taxing telecommuters, as lawmakers bump up against the Wednesday close of their session.
Gov. Ned Lamont (D) proposed the incentive earlier this year as part of a larger effort to stop New York’s taxation of remote and hybrid workers in Connecticut and other states. But the measure won’t be called for a vote before the General Assembly breaks for the year, Lamont’s budget spokesperson Chris Collibee said.
