California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed three bills Friday during a press conference in Altadena that offer property tax relief to Los Angeles fire victims in recognition of the fires that devastated the area earlier this year.
The measures are the latest disaster-relief bills to offer some form of tax relief to those impacted by fires in the state. A bill Newsom signed last month instituted income tax exemptions for wildfire settlements.
