Washington’s landmark measure applying a new income tax on millionaires isn’t the only significant tax policy coming out of the state’s latest legislative session.
Lawmakers also passed bills rolling back sales tax exemptions for data centers and reversing the state’s estate tax increases before the session wrapped Friday.
Several of the bills seek to raise revenue as the state grapples with a budget deficit estimated to reach $4 billion in the next few years, according to a report from the state House of Representatives’ research office.
