UN Body to Tackle Tourism Transfer Pricing, Critical Minerals

The United Nations committee charged with helping developing countries raise tax revenue will develop guidance on transfer pricing, critical minerals, and the taxation of digital and service firms in the coming years.

The committee of 25 tax experts agreed at a meeting Wednesday in Geneva to create working groups to tackle issues within those topic areas. The work will include transfer pricing guidance specific to the tourism industry in response to the difficulty developing countries face in ensuring they’re collecting all the taxes companies owe.
