Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill to Amend VAT Exemptions on Imports of Optical Devices Due to War

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) July 7 accepted for consideration Bill No. 9467, to amend VAT exemptions for certain optical devices imported during martial law, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The bill includes measures to: 1) expand the Uniform Customs Tariff of Ukraine (UCT) codes for exempt imports of specific optical devices, including thermal imaging binoculars, monoculars, and night vision devices; and 2) exempt specified rangefinders.
