UK Invites Company Interest in Tax Certainty Services From June

Companies can formally express interest in securing advance tax certainty for their billion-dollar infrastructure projects from June 1, the UK tax authority said Tuesday.

After submitting an expression of interest to His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, companies will have the opportunity to discuss projects at an early engagement meeting before filing a formal application, according to official guidance.

Reducing tax uncertainty for major projects is meant “to boost investment and UK economic growth,” HMRC said.
