UK Court Allows Partial Appeal In Film Tax Relief Case

A UK court has partially sided with a group of investment firms seeking tax relief for movie production in a case beset by delays and missing evidence.

The First-Ter Tribunal (Tax Chamber) allowed appeals in part from Take 3.9 TV Partnership & Ors and four related partnerships after concluding a segment of the financing they provided for the production of films was “wholly and exclusively for the purpose of that trade.”
