Texas Legislature Creates Certain Municipal Utility District, Includes Tax Provisions

The Texas Legislature enacted legislation creating the Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 263. The law includes: 1) prohibiting the district from exercising the power of eminent domain; 2) providing authority to issue bonds; and 3) providing authority to impose assessments, fees, and taxes.
