Rahul Gupta Named Chair of AICPA Financial Reporting Committee

The American Institute of CPAs named Grant Thornton partner Rahul Gupta as chairman of its Financial Reporting Executive Committee, the institute announced Monday.

Gupta is an audit partner in Grant Thornton’s national office and a principal at Grant Thornton Advisors, based in Chicago. He assists engagement teams and clients in resolving complex technical accounting issues and develops the firm’s thought leadership on accounting standards and financial reporting.

He has been a member of FinREC since 2022 and serves on the AICPA’s digital assets working group.
