Peru Tax Agency Announces Suspension of Withholding Tax for Independent Workers

The Peruvian National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration Jan. 20 issued Press Release No. 007, announcing a virtual process for requesting the suspension of the 8 percent monthly withholding tax, for independent workers under the fourth category. Independent workers, who issue receipts for electronic fees and project income under 40,250 Peruvian soles (US$10,453) in 2022, are eligible to request the suspension.
