The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s upcoming report on tax simplification will discuss ideas to ease tax reporting burdens and complexities, an official said Friday.
The report it will present to the G20 will discuss how tax authorities can “spot unnecessary complexities” in the rule-making process early, said Melissa Dejong, senior adviser for the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration.
“It is a challenging task, and I think one that needs to balance a lot of different considerations,” such as the issues of fairness and the integrity, Dejong said at the OECD’s Tax Certainty Day 2025 in Paris. ...
