The OECD helped Jamaica train more than 70 tax officials on transfer pricing, leading to transaction disclosures worth €6.6 billion ($7.7 billion) from multinational companies, the body said in a report Wednesday.
Disclosures on transfer pricing—the valuation of related-party transactions—in Jamaica increased to more than 4,000 in 2022-23, up from 30 in 2015, according to Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s case study on building tax capacity in the country.
The Caribbean island nation saw an increase in transfer pricing return filings from 25 in 2015 to 900 in 2022-23.
