Maldives Signs Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, MCAA-CbC, MCAA-CRS

The Maldivian Inland Revenue Authority Aug. 12 issued Press Release No. (PR)220-MTRS/PRIV/2021/02, announcing the signing of three agreements. The press release includes: 1) the Aug. 11 signing of the 2011 Amended Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters; and 2) the Aug. 12 signing of the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement (MCAA) on the exchange of Country-by-Country (CbC) reports, and the MCAA on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information under the common reporting standard (CRS).
