High-level ministers from Latin American countries agreed Thursday to create a new standing forum to cooperate with each other on global tax issues, in a sign of some countries’ frustration with the OECD’s 2021 global tax agreement.
The ministers agreed to a joint declaration on the first day of a two-day summit meeting in Cartagena, Colombia, to create the Regional Tax Cooperation Platform for Latin America and the Caribbean.
