Indonesia MOF Issues Regulation on Tax Incentives for Health Sector Due to Coronavirus

The Indonesian Ministry of Finance Dec. 31, 2021, issued Regulation No. 226/PMK.03/2021, extending tax incentives to June 30 for the health sector due to the coronavirus pandemic. The regulation includes measures to: 1) impose a zero percent income tax rate on additional income received by health professionals; and 2) exempt VAT and income taxes on the import or acquisition of vaccines, drugs, and other equipment related to the pharmaceutical industry.
