France and Germany Agree on Taxation of Cross-Border Workers

Germany and France have reached a deal to avoid double taxation of cross-border workers who have to work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The two already have extensive agreements to avoid double-taxing individuals who live in one country and work in the other. On Monday, the German government said the new deal specifies that days spent working in the country of residence during the coronavirus pandemic will be considered as days worked in the country of employment. The agreement had been announced May 20 by the French Finance Ministry, which also reported deals that day with Switzerland and Belgium. ...
