Estonia, Czechia Drop Opposition to Revised Minimum Tax Deal (1)

Estonia and Czechia will accept a renegotiated global minimum tax deal that would carve out US companies from key provisions of the agreement.

“We can confirm that the Czech Republic joined the consensus on the Side-by-Side Package as proposed by the Inclusive Framework’s co-chairs,” a spokesperson for the Czech finance ministry wrote in an email. “Thus, the treatment of non-refundable tax credits should stay as proposed in the current draft.”
