Czech Cabinet May Consider Ending Windfall Tax in 2024: Seznam

The Czech government could discuss early next year whether to end a windfall tax on the biggest banks and energy companies, Finance Minister Zbynek Stanjura says in an interview with Seznam Zpravy.

• The original expiration date for the windfall tax is 2025, however Stanjura says it is possible that if extraordinary expenditures are no longer needed, extraordinary revenues will not be needed either and the tax may be abolished next year and it might not be in effect for 2024
