Canada’s tax authority said Thursday it would finish paying out refunds of companies’ digital services tax payments by the end of the day.
The Canada Revenue Agency collected approximately C$647 million ($475 million) in DST before Ottawa announced in June last year that it would shelve the levy, spokeswoman Kim Thiffault said in an email. The 3% tax went into effect in June 2024.
