Warsh Fed Chair Hearing Set for Next Week, Tim Scott Says (4)

The Senate Banking Committee has scheduled a confirmation hearing at 10 a.m. on April 21 for Kevin Warsh, President Donald Trump’s nominee for Federal Reserve chair.

The scheduling of the hearing followed remarks from the panel’s top Republican earlier on Tuesday promising the committee would host Warsh next week.

“We’ll talk through the economy. We’ll talk through price stability and inflation. We’ll talk about the independence of the Fed,” South Carolina Senator Tim Scott said in the interview on Fox Business.
