Vice President JD Vance will forgo attending the Munich Security Conference this year, according to a person familiar with his thinking, a decision that comes one year after he delivered a combative speech at the high-profile summit that stunned Europeans.

Vance’s plans were shared by the person familiar on condition of anonymity to discuss matters not yet publicly announced.
