Unions From Early Primary States Heap Pressure on Newsom Over AI

Labor leaders from Nevada and other key Democratic primary states said California Gov. Gavin Newsom will have to be tougher on the technology industry over AI rules if he wants their support for a potential 2028 presidential run.

The union officials are part of a coalition that on Wednesday called for Newsom to back California legislation that would place curbs around artificial intelligence.
