President Donald Trumpsaid he will attend a rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on July 24, three months after the annual gala was postponed due to a shooting incident at the venue.
“I was asked to be there, and speak, by Weijia Jiang, President of The White House Correspondents’ Association, and have accepted,” Trump said Tuesday in a social media post. He added that it would be held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Washington, previously the Trump International Hotel.
