Trump Plans to Host El Salvador’s Bukele for April Visit (1)

President Donald Trump is set to host El Salvador President Nayib Bukele in Washington next month, according to Bukele’s office, after the Central American leader agreed to jail hundreds of alleged Venezuelan gang members deported from the US.

Bukele’s press secretary, Ernesto Sanabria, confirmed plans for the visit after people familiar with the matter said earlier Friday it was going ahead. The White House didn’t respond to requests for comment. In his first two months in office, Trump has hosted the leaders of countries including France, India, the UK and Israel.
