Leaders of the MAGA movement are cautioning President Donald Trump against ousting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, arguing it would only fuel Democrats’ criticism of his handling of the Minnesota shooting.
The House Freedom Caucus, a group of about 30 Republicans tightly aligned with the MAGA base, said Tuesday that Trump should use the Insurrection Act to call in federal troops against Democratic leaders who can’t control street protests.
