Trump Ally to Lead High-Level Senate Delegation to China in May

A bipartisan congressional delegation will head to China in May, following President Donald Trump’s visit to the country.

Senator Steve Daines, a Montana Republican and close Trump ally, said the high-profile visit will include stops in Shanghai and Beijing, and a ride on a high speed train connecting the two cities.

The senators’ trip, which has been months in the planning, would come on the heels of Trump’s highly anticipated visit to the country later this month to meet with President Xi Jinping.
