Trial Lawyers Vow to Fight Uber-Backed Amendment to Highway Bill

A national group representing trial lawyers is vowing to fight language in the draft surface transportation reauthorization that a key House panel approved Friday morning to protect ride-hailing apps such as Uber Technologies from liability for crimes and negligence by drivers.
