The candidate fields are set for the 2026 primaries in Texas, where Republicans are eying five new House seats after mid-decade redistricting and are defending a Senate seat where both parties now have competitive primaries.
The elections are the first to be held under a new congressional map Texas Republican legislators enacted this summer at President Donald Trump’s behest.
