Spy Powers Extension Vote Kicked to Mid-April After House Break

The House won’t vote on a spy powers extension next week, punting work on the soon-to-expire surveillance measure until mid-April when the chamber returns from its two-week Easter recess.

Republican leaders are aiming to advance an 18-month extension of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act before its April 20 expiration. But the House isn’t planning to consider such legislation next week, a person familiar with the plans told Bloomberg Government.
