President Donald Trump’s solution to pay US troops by tapping the Pentagon’s research and development account won’t be an option to cover Oct. 30 paychecks, the top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee warned Friday.
“President Trump found a way to pay our troops,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) told reporters Friday. “I do want you to know that that option is not going to be available in two weeks for their next paycheck.”
