Senate Republicans are gearing up to hold another vote on a stopgap measure just hours before the deadline to fund the government.
Senate Republicans are looking to vote again on the House-passed continuing resolution on Tuesday. The measure would fund government through Nov. 20, but would not address expiring health care subsidies. It was blocked by Senate Democrats last week.
Although the Senate schedule is not yet locked in, that timing could increase pressure on Democrats to support the stopgap this time around rather than risk a shutdown by opposing the GOP plan.
