Senate Republicans are starting the process of confirming the next package of dozens of President Donald Trump’s nominees, marking the first time this year the chamber will use new procedures for speedier confirmations.
A resolution (S.Res.690) was placed on the Senate calendar Monday night, starting the multi-step process to authorize consideration of a batch of nominees.
