Outdoor Act Reauthorization Bill Introduced by House Lawmakers

The House Committee on Natural Resources on Wednesday introduced a bipartisan proposal to invest almost $2 billion over the next five years in national parks and public lands.

The Great American Outdoors Act 250, sponsored by committee chairman Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) and ranking member Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), extends some expired provisions of a landmark 2020 law that addressed public lands maintenance. The committee is hosting a field hearingon the bill in Arkansas on Friday.
