Moderate Republican Forcing Obamacare Credits Extension Vote (1)

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) filed a discharge petition on his proposal to extend the enhanced Obamacare premium subsidies for two years.

The lawmaker released a bill with several fellow moderates earlier this week that would extend the tax credits for two years, with the option of allowing enrollees to direct some of the subsidy into health savings accounts. Fitzpatrick said he didn’t join his colleagues in a caucus meeting Wednesday morning where they went over other health proposals to put on the floor.
