The longest-ever government shutdown is over, but lawmakers will be in for another funding fight come the end of January when the stopgap Congress just passed expires.

Lawmakers tacked three annual funding bills onto the stopgap, but the far more contentious parts of government funding have yet to be dealt with. Despite Congress’ exasperation with the shutdown fight, there’s no guarantee lawmakers will strike another funding deal before Jan. 30.
